4.Now
select both circles, and go Modify>Combine>Punch.
Now you can see the letter behind. Then go Modify>Transform>Skew.
Now there is a black border around the circle, and the cursor has changed.
Hold down your right mouse key on the top right hand corner of the selection,
and move your cursor slowly to the left. Stop when it looks similar to
the illustration to the left. Deselect (Ctrl+D).
5.Now
select the letter and go Ctrl+Shift+P, or Text>Convert
to Paths. You can't edit the letter now, as it is a path like the circle.
Select the letter and circle. Copy them (Ctrl+C). Now create a new document
200x200, and paste to it (Ctrl+V). Minimize the new document for now, and
return to the original.
6.Select
the letter and circle again if you deselected it before and go Modify>Combine>Intersect.
You now have some black objects left in the document. Look at the new document
and find out where you want the circle to overlap the text. By looking
at the new document I could see where the circle overlapped the "A". I
deleted the big chunk by going Ctrl+Shift+J, this splits the to objects
apart, so I don't delete them both, when I only want to delete one of them.
I copied (Ctrl+C) the one that was remaining.
7.
This
is the final step. Go to the new document, and paste the object you copied
into it. It should fit like a glove when you paste it, if not the document
sizes aren't the same, so you'll have to nudge it into place with the arrow
keys. Deselect the object, and look at your final creation.
