Part 3: Applying the Pattern

With your paint can, and scanlines pattern selected, click inside the image you would like to apply the pattern to. It should look similiar to the image on the right.

6. Next, click on the "Layers" button from the top button, then click on " Properties".
|

From the Layer Properties window that just opened, move to the Blend Mode menu, and select "Burn". (As shown on the right)
|

|
Next you need to modify the "Opacity" value. Using your mouse, click inside the little input box, and enter the value "30". Now click "OK" to apply the layer changes.

|
That's it, your all done! Feel free to play with different opacity and blend mode options, to create other effects.
