Step 1 -  Open a new 400x400
pixel document, and make a circle with the eliptical marquee. (hint: hold
down shift to make a perfect circle.) |

Step 2 -  Make a new
layer, use the Paint Bucket Tool to fill the circle with a color of your
choice. |

Step 3 -  Create another
layer, select the airbrush tool i used the largest brush. Set your foreground
color to black then spray around the edge to create a shadow similar to
the image on your left. |

Step 4 - Create one
more layer and use the airbrush tool again using white to create your highlight. |

Step 5 - Merge the shadow and highlight layer together. Go to
Filter:Blur:Gaussian
Blur and set the radius to 20 pixels. |

Step 6 - Now merge the two remaining layers together and you
will have your spheroid. |
